While we have all been on the giving or receiving end of an April Fools prank, where did this silly holiday come from? Well, like many holidays, the exact origins of April Fools Day are a bit cloudy. One possible explanation comes from the Greco-Roman festival called Hilaria, which was a celebrated on March 25. The festival honored Cybele, an ancient Greek Mother of Gods, and its celebrations included parades, masquerades and jokes to celebrate the first day after the vernal equinox. Another explanation comes from the 16th century when the world switched from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar. New Years was moved from March 25 through April 1st up to January 1st and this ended up "fooling" everyone who was still using the old dates.

Simpson Electric 260-8P General Purpose Analog VOM

Veris Industries H321 Split-Core AC Current Transducer

The Veris Industries H321 split-core AC current transducer provides reliable load trending information for motor loads with a proportional 4-20mA signal. The H321 can handle a 300A to 800 A AC current signal and will give a proportional 4-20 DCmA signal output.
